Partnership with parents
We recognise that working in partnerships with parents is of major importance to the Pre-Schools, it enables us to provide a happy, caring and stable environment for all children and their parents.
Our aim is to support parents as their child’s first and most important educators by involving them in their child’s education and in the full life of the Pre-School.
We appreciate that leaving your child for the first time in Pre-School, can be an extremely stressful time for both child and parents. We therefore try to make this process as stress free as possible for everyone concerned.
Before a child starts Pre-School we encourage parents and carers to visit regularly so that their child can familiarise themselves with the new surroundings and the staff. During a visit with your child, staff will introduce you to our policies and procedures, a copy of which is located next to the Parent’s Notice Board.
We have an ‘open door’ policy, and we welcome parents / carers at any time and we actively seek parental involvement and offers of participation when planning excursions and special events.
Once a child starts Pre-School parents can stay until they feel comfortable about leaving their child.
A member of staff will be introduced to you as your child’s key person and will be your main contact for the exchange of information.
