Part-time Pre-school Assistant

18 hours per week (Mon, Tue, Wed 8:45 – 12:15 & Thu, Fri 8:45 – 12:30)

Salary Scale 1(i) Salary Point 3

Hourly Rate £12.45 per hour

Starting January 2025 Fixed Term Contract until 18th July 2025

Term time with holiday or retainer pay (as appropriate) during school holidays

 

St. Oswald’s Pre-School is Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’, providing a high standard of care and education during school term time only, for children from 2 years of age. 

As part of the SEN (Special Educational Needs) Team, this role focuses on supporting children with SEN and challenging behaviours.  Due to an increase in the number of children with SEN requiring additional support, we are currently looking for a diligent and proactive Pre-School Assistant to join our team on a fixed term contract, who have experience in dealing with complex behaviours of children with SEN.  

The Pre-School is committed to fostering a caring and inclusive atmosphere, where children with SEN are supported to develop and thrive.

Applicants should hold a Level 3 Diploma or higher childcare qualification, with sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, have experience of and an interest in working with children with SEN, and have previously worked in an early years setting.

A current Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required for this post.

Pay Scale – Salary Point 1(i) 3 to 5 (Bar at Point 4)

£12.45 to £12.65 per hour

11.5 Hours per Week

 

Applications are invited for the above post which forms part of the golf shop team at the Oak Leaf Golf Complex.

 

The candidate must have previous experience of working within a customer care environment, using a computerised till system, and preferably a knowledge of the game of golf and golf products.

 

The position will support the current golf shop team and will include shop work and the collection of driving range balls.

 

Shift patterns will vary, but the candidate will need to be available for work between 6.30am and 9.30pm each day on a rota basis.

 

The candidate will also be required to cover for staff holidays and other absence, and be willing to work up to 37 hours per week if required.
