18 hours per week (Mon, Tue, Wed 8:45 – 12:15 & Thu, Fri 8:45 – 12:30)
Salary Scale 1(i) Salary Point 3
Hourly Rate £12.45 per hour
Starting January 2025 Fixed Term Contract until 18th July 2025
Term time with holiday or retainer pay (as appropriate) during school holidays
St. Oswald’s Pre-School is Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’, providing a high standard of care and education during school term time only, for children from 2 years of age.
As part of the SEN (Special Educational Needs) Team, this role focuses on supporting children with SEN and challenging behaviours. Due to an increase in the number of children with SEN requiring additional support, we are currently looking for a diligent and proactive Pre-School Assistant to join our team on a fixed term contract, who have experience in dealing with complex behaviours of children with SEN.
The Pre-School is committed to fostering a caring and inclusive atmosphere, where children with SEN are supported to develop and thrive.
Applicants should hold a Level 3 Diploma or higher childcare qualification, with sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, have experience of and an interest in working with children with SEN, and have previously worked in an early years setting.
A current Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required for this post.
