Great Aycliffe Town Council is proud to host a number of free annual events for the community. As a town council we work with local entertainers, organisations and businesses to bring exciting and magical events for everyone, young and old. We also organise commemorate events marking important dates in our national calendar.

In 2024 we commemorated the 80th Anniversary of D-Day.
The Big Brass Bash which is organised by Durham County Council and funded by Great Aycliffe Town Council, took place on 11th July 2024
