NOTICE OF ELECTION

Election of a Town Councillor for
GREAT AYCLIFFE TOWN COUNCIL (BYERLEY PARK, HORNDALE & COBBLERS HALL WARD)

1. An election is to be held of One Town Councillor for Great Aycliffe Town Council (Byerley Park, Horndale & Cobblers Hall Ward).
2. Forms of nomination for the Parish Election may be obtained from the Returning Officer, Electoral Services, The Annexe, County Hall, Durham, DH1 5UL who will, at the request of an elector for any electoral area prepare a nomination paper for signature.
3. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer, The Annexe, County Hall, Durham, DH1 5UL on any working day after the date of this notice, (excluding bank holidays) but no later than 4 pm on Friday, 7 June 2024.
4. If any election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, 4 July 2024.
5. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Tuesday 18 June 2024. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
6. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at The Annexe, County Hall, Durham, DH1 5UL by 5 pm on Wednesday, 19 June 2024. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote
7. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 26 June 2024. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate
8. Applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at The Annexe, County Hall, Durham, DH1 5UL by 5 pm on Wednesday, 26 June 2024. Some applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/apply-proxy-vote
9. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at The Annexe, County Hall, Durham, DH1 5UL by 5pm on Thursday, 4 July 2024
